Cassani type diamond polishing pads are used for floor renovation work on stone, marble, concrete, granite and tile surfaces. They are designed for Cassani floor machines only, so machine fitment should be confirmed before ordering.
The Cassani Type Floor Renovation Diamond Polishing Pad is available from 50# to 3000# and can be used wet or dry depending on the jobsite process.
Floor polishing is not controlled by one pad alone.
A lower grit is used when the surface needs more cutting or scratch removal. Higher grits are used to refine the surface before the final finish. If the floor still has deep scratches, uneven marks or an open surface from earlier grinding, jumping too quickly to a higher grit can leave visible defects.
For many floor renovation jobs, the sequence may move through several steps from coarse to fine. The correct starting grit depends on the material, machine setup and surface condition.
Where 800 grit fits in the process
The 800# Cassani type pad shown in the product photo is a refinement step.
It is not the first aggressive cut. It is normally used after earlier grit steps have already prepared the surface. On stone, marble, concrete, granite or tile, 800# helps refine the finish before moving into higher polishing stages such as 1500# or 3000#.
If the floor has coating, heavy lippage, deep scratches or uneven grinding marks, a lower grit or another tool may be needed first.
Wet or dry use
These pads can be used wet or dry, but the better choice depends on the floor and the worksite.
Wet polishing can help control heat and dust. Dry polishing may be preferred when water control is difficult or when the contractor is working with a dry dust extraction setup.
The pad, machine speed, pressure and floor material should be matched to the polishing method.
Fitment: Cassani floor machines only
This product is for Cassani floor machines only.
It should not be described as a universal pad. Contractors should confirm the machine type, pad shape and attachment system before ordering. For other machine systems, it is better to check the correct tool category through Shop by Machine.
When this pad is the right choice
Cassani type wet/dry diamond polishing pads are a good option when the contractor is restoring or refining floors made from stone, marble, concrete, granite or tile.
They are especially useful when the work needs a complete grit sequence from 50# to 3000# instead of a single finishing pad.
For other polishing workflows, contractors can also compare resin polishing pads, hybrid transition pads and other diamond tools for floor grinding and polishing.
Buyer checklist before ordering
Confirm the machine is a Cassani floor machine.
Confirm the floor material.
Confirm whether the job will be wet or dry.
Confirm the starting surface condition.
Confirm the full grit sequence from cutting to final polishing.
A diamond polishing pad works best when it is matched to the machine, the floor and the process. For floor renovation work, the right sequence is often more important than choosing one grit by itself.
