Overview

MONKEY KING ceramic transitional pads provide an intermediate step between metal-bond grinding and resin polishing on compatible NewGrind Rhino floor grinders.

They are designed to refine the remaining metal-bond scratch pattern before the resin polishing sequence begins, helping contractors reduce rework caused by moving into resin pads too early.

Available Grits

30 / 50 / 100 / 200 / 400

Each selected option includes one ceramic transitional pad.

How to Select the Grit

Choose 30 or 50 grit when stronger scratch refinement is required after metal grinding.

Choose 100 or 200 grit for progressive refinement after the earlier transitional step.

Choose 400 grit when the previous scratches have been controlled and the floor is ready to move toward resin polishing.

The correct starting grit depends on the previous metal grit, visible scratch depth, concrete condition, machine pressure and target finish. If deep metal scratches remain, complete the necessary metal-grinding step before using ceramic transitional pads.

Machine Compatibility

Designed for compatible NewGrind Rhino grinders equipped with a matching hook-and-loop pad holder.

Compare the pad shape, holder surface and backing connection with the product images before ordering. Compatibility should not be determined by the Rhino name alone.

Sold Individually

Each order quantity of “1” includes one pad.

The required quantity depends on the number of tool plates and active positions on your grinder. The Rhino RS150 manual identifies three evenly spaced tools per plate as its standard configuration, but this does not mean that three pads complete the entire machine.

Count every active position on your actual grinder setup before entering the checkout quantity.

Installation

Disconnect the grinder from power before changing pads.

Clean the hook-and-loop holder, inspect the pad backing and install the same pad type and grit in every active position. Mixing different grits can produce an inconsistent scratch pattern.

Continue the Polishing Sequence

After the ceramic transitional step has refined the visible scratches, continue with compatible Resin Polishing Pads.

Confirm Fitment Before Ordering

If your holder does not match the product images, send the grinder model, holder photo, previous metal grit and current floor photo through Contact Monkey King Diamond Tools.
