Why cap cutters: cap cutters focus pressure on fewer cutting points, helping shear the dense surface cap faster. After the cap is broken, you can follow with a simple metal sequence to control scratch and keep the surface consistently open for absorption testing or prep requirements.

Q1: Is this for coating prep or absorption (penetrating sealer) prep?
A: Mainly for opening the dense surface cap so liquid can absorb. It can also be used as a fast cap-removal step before your next metal steps.

Q2: Why hard bond if the slab is soft underneath?
A: Hard bond lasts longer once you’re through the top cap and into softer concrete. If the top cap is extremely tight and still skates, soft bond can be added as a second option.

Q3: What machine size is this set for?
A: This set is based on “3 tools per head” style workflows (9 pcs total). If your plate uses a different tool count, message us and we’ll adjust quantity.

Q4: Can you make a soft bond version too?
A: Yes. We can quote an additional 9 pcs soft bond set if needed.
